Women face more pressure to be "a certain way" than men. We are constantly scrutinized according to our weight, our manner of dress, and our gender roles. This happens to females in early stages of development until we die. My program deals with these struggle of women. I will help you understand why you think the way you do about yourself. We will identify the sources of negative thinking and rebuild your identity through nourishment for your body and soul. My Holistic approach will help you realize realistic weight goals, establish a healthy body image and heal old wounds. We will create a healthy eating plan, tailored to your lifestyle. I will teach you what to eat, how to shop, how to prepare it and how to balance doing all of that while maintaining a sound mind. TEENS/Nutrigirl's Wellness Club
Nutrigirl's Wellness Club is a group Holistic Health workshop that meets bi monthly to help girls maintain realistic health goals. My program aims to empower young women by giving them support. The "Club" is a place to discuss teen issues that affect them. The approach is Holistic; it incorporates Yoga, Nutrition Counseling, and peer discussion. We discuss topics according to age; ranging from Barbie (and her role in how women see themselves), to how to read the ingredients on a cereal box. My aim is to teach girls how to nourish themselves healthfully, and why it is important. We explore unrealistic images of women in the media, and how to deal with the pressures of these unrealistic expectations.
Groups form according to demand. Start a group at your school!
Nutrigirl's Wellness Club is open to girls aged 8-18, and grouped by age.
