"Doula" means handmaiden in Ancient Greek and refers to a woman experienced in supporting a mother during her child's birth. A doula provides physical comfort measures, an objective viewpoint, and information to help you make the best decisions for you and your baby. As your doula, I provide continuous emotional and physical support to you and your partner. I will work with you and your chosen Method of childbirth education. I will stay by your side during your labor and help you cope. My duty is to support and encourage you!
